Service of nine (9) improvement notices on AFC Piri Piri, 202 Walton Road, Woking, GU21 5DX

Reasons for the decision:

No documentation held for FSMS to show compliance with HACCP Principles (HIN/JK/201/19).

Inadequate PPE / uniform worn by staff, resulting in potential of contaminated food and surfaces (HIN/JK/202/19).

Inadequately trained staff in basic food hygiene on any control and monitoring points identified in the FSMP (HIN/JK/203/19).

Inadequate temperature control of ready to eat food and cooked chicken (HIN/JK/204/19).

Identification of mouse droppings and pest infestation at premises, requiring pest control treatment (HIM/JK/205/19).

Accumulation of dirt in premises, requiring deep clean (HIN/JK/206/19).

Structure of the premises unsuitable for use as a food premises and extension works requires completing (HIN/JK/207/19).

Premises requires a two stage cleaning procedure to be implemented, including ensuring the WC is fully functioning with a supply of hot and cold water (HIN/JK/208/19).

Cracked glass and missing panels on the doors requires fixing to prevent pests accessing the premises (HIN/JK/209/19).

Alternative options considered:

Option 1 - Previous food hygiene visit carried out on 13 February 2019 and subsequent re-visits, where premises owner was instructed to complete remedial works.

Option 2 - Inspection held on 13 November 2019 requiring further remedial works.

Option 3 - Report left at the premises following inspections and works required to achieve compliance.
