Review of Personal Licence Reporting Person – Matthew Cobb Minutes: The Sub-Committee received a report which advised that a Personal Licence Holder had contacted the Licensing Authority, as was required, to state that a conviction for drink driving had been received, which the Authority was required to consider under Schedule 4 of the Licensing Act 2013. The Licence Holder was present at the meeting and a Hearing was held.
At the end of the Hearing, the Chairman reported that in making its decision the Sub-Committee had taken into account written representations it, oral statements, the Council’s Licensing Policy and national guidance. The Chairman advised that the matter under question was a serious offence which should not be treated lightly, and therefore it had been decided that the Personal Licence Holder’s licence should be suspended for a period of three months in line with Section 132A(3) of the Licensing Act 2013. The Licence Holder would have the Right of Appeal to the Magistrate’s Court within 21 days.
RESOLVED
That the Personal Licence Holder’s licence be suspended for a period of three months in line with Section 132A(3) of the Licensing Act 2003. |
