Honorary Freedom of the Borough - Michael Neil Bullen.

Councillors G Cundy and I Johnson will jointly move and second that the Council confers upon Michael Neil Bullen the Honorary Freedom of the Borough of Woking and that the Council admits him to be an Honorary Freeman of the Borough and that his name be inscribed in the Roll of Honorary Freemen of the Borough.

The Mayor will call upon any other Member of the Council wishing to do so, to speak to the Motion. The Mayor will then put the Motion to the Council.

Upon the Motion being duly carried, Michael Bullen will make and sign the Declaration of Acceptance of Office. The Mayor will then present a Freeman’s Badge and the Scroll bearing the Resolution of the Council to Michael Bullen and offer the congratulations of the Council upon his admission to the Roll of Honorary Freemen of the Borough.

Councillors G Cundy and A-M Barker will jointly move and second that the Council confers upon Sir Howard Hugh Panter the Honorary Freedom of the Borough of Woking and that the Council admits him to be an Honorary Freeman of the Borough and that his name be inscribed in the Roll of Honorary Freemen of the Borough.

Councillors G Cundy and A-M Barker will jointly move and second that the Council confers upon Dame Rosemary Anne Squire DBE the Honorary Freedom of the Borough of Woking and that the Council admits her to be an Honorary Freeman of the Borough and that her name be inscribed in the Roll of Honorary Freemen of the Borough.

The Mayor will call upon any other Member of the Council wishing to do so, to speak to the Motion. The Mayor will then put the Motion to the Council.

Upon the Motion being duly carried, Dame Rosemary Squire will make and sign the Declaration of Acceptance of Office. The Mayor will then present a Freeman’s Badge and the Scroll bearing the Resolution of the Council to Dame Rosemary Squire and offer the congratulations of the Council upon her admission to the Roll of Honorary Freemen of the Borough.

THE RESOLUTION 

THE BOROUGH OF WOKING

At a Special Meeting of the Council of the Borough of Woking convened in accordance with the provisions of Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972 and held in the Council Chamber, Civic Offices, Gloucester Square, Woking, Surrey on the 13th June 2019

 it was RESOLVED to confer upon

Michael Neil Bullen

Sir Howard Hugh Panter

and

Dame Rosemary Anne Squire DBE

the Honorary Freedom of the Borough of Woking, the most honourable distinction which it is the privilege of the Council to bestow in recognition of the eminent services rendered to the Borough, the Council does hereby admit

Michael Neil Bullen, Sir Howard Hugh Panter and Dame Rosemary Anne Squire DBE

to be HONORARY FREEMEN OF THE BOROUGH OF WOKING

and that their names be inscribed in the Roll of Freemen of the Borough.

THIS IS TO CERTIFY 

Michael Neil Bullen, Sir Howard Hugh Panter and Dame Rosemary Anne Squire DBE have been duly sworn and admitted to the Honorary Freedom of the Borough pursuant to the above Resolution.
