Gyms and fitness areas are an essential service in underpinning
the health of the nation. An outdoor adult fitness area would have
a positive impact on the community, creating an inclusive space for
adults and older kids to work out and build their fitness skills
and strength. A facility like this would require minimal space and
maintenance yet appeal to a large number of local users. Parks like
this make fitness more inclusive, build community and help create a
more healthy and active neighbourhoods. Calisthenics (bodyweight
exercise) is a growing sport and is a great way to keep fit and
anybody can do it no matter the age. A similar recreation ground
and equipment available in other public parks in Knaphill and
Goldsworth Park Lake. These
installations are quite successful.
