Agenda and minutes

Apologies for absence had been received from Councillor Bridgeman and Councillor Johnson.

To receive declarations of disclosable pecuniary and other interests from Members and Officers in respect of any item to be considered at the meeting.  Any declarations in respect of the item for consideration under Part II of the agenda – Press and Public Excluded – will be reported once the decision has been made to move to Part II.

Any declarations of interest made in respect of Agenda Item 4 – Land Management – were reported to the Council once the decision to move to Part II of the agenda – Press and Public Excluded – had been made and were recorded in the Confidential Minutes of the meeting.

          The Mayor will move, and the Deputy Mayor will second:-

          "That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of item 4 in view of the nature of the proceedings that, if members of the press and public were present during this item, there would be disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A, to the Local Government Act 1972.”

          Paragraph 3 – Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information).

PART II – PRESS AND PUBLIC EXCLUDED

The Mayor moved and Councillor Forster seconded that the press and public should be excluded from the meeting during consideration of the following item.

RESOLVED

That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during consideration of Agenda Item 4 – Land Management – in view of the nature of the proceedings that, if members of the press and public were present during this item, there would be disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A, to the Local Government Act 1972.

Paragraph 3 – Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information).

(NOTE: - In accordance with the Code of Conduct, Councillors declared the interests they had in the following item, Land Management.  Details of the interests were recorded in the Confidential Minutes of the meeting.)

The Council had before it a report that dealt with two land management proposals.  In considering the paper, the Members supported the recommendations in respect of the first proposal, subject to amendments, and agreed not to support the recommendations in respect of the second proposal.

RESOLVED

That the decisions of the Council in respect of the two Land Management proposals be agreed as set out in the Confidential Minutes of the Meeting.
